Stress is a part of life. It’s how we handle our stress that makes the difference in our health and well-being.
How do you handle stress? Do you take it in and bury it in the pit of your stomach, your heart, or somewhere else in your body? Did you know that Stress is recognized by the American Medical Association as the #1 cause of illness and disease!
The energy of stress can literally become trapped in our body. When we take it in and do not process it, this stress becomes stuck in our cells and tissues. Over time this can develop into feelings of anger, anxiety, depression and even express itself as pain.
Stress loads the system with cortisol and puts the body in “fight or flight” mode which prevents normal hormone function.
The good news is there is another way to handle stress. I recommend regular Self Care. We must be better caretakers of ourselves!
